Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Following initiative of Prime Minister of Pakistan for Clean and Green Pakistan drive, National Highway Authority has embarked on a campaign for cleaning the road network by removing wild growth, garbage and debris along the Right of Way of NHA roads.
Under 75 Day Action Plan, NHA has planned clearing 4211 kms length of roads and todate NHA has cleared 3291 Kms long segments of roads at various locations including Peshawar, Karak, D.I. Khan, Batkhela, Swat, Abbottabad, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur.
Under the campaign, roads and its median will be cleared of debris and garbage, all drains will be cleared, all potholes will be filled and necessary cutting of grass and vegetation will be carried out.
Chairman NHA Mr. Jawwad Rafique Malik is personally supervising this activity to make it more effective and result oriented.
