Lahore: Verdict on NAB plea for sending former Vice Chancellor (VC) of Punjab University ( PU) Dr Mujahid Kamran and others in jail has been reserved by Accountability Court (AC) in illegal appointment case.
Accountability Court (AC) took up the illegal appointment case for hearing on Monday.
During the course of hearing Former Vice Chancellor of Punjab University Dr Mujahid Kamran and other suspects including Dr Kamran Zahid, Dr Raas Masood, Amin Athar appeared before Accountability Court (AC) on expiry of physical remand.
NAB prayed court to send suspects to jail on judicial remand.
This time Mujahid Kamran and other suspects were presented before the court without handcuffs.
Counsel of Mujahid Kamran took the plea that if allegations were not proved against suspects then they should be released.
Court after hearing arguments of both sides reserved the verdict on NAB plea for sending former VC of PU Dr Mujahid Kamran and others to jail.
