ABBOTTABAD:(Parliament Times) Around 400 male and female students of far flung areas of AJK and Gilgit & Baltistan visited Pakistan Military Academy and Army Physical Training School Kakool on Friday.
Sources said that these students belonged to Khaploo, Skardu, Istore, Kharmang, Ghazar, Lipa Valley, Neelum Valley, Chakar, Hattian Bala, Rawalakot, Kotli, Mirpur Army Public School Kallari and Bhimber. 40 students from district Diamir where miscreants torched fourteen schools in August this year, also joined them.
The visiting students of AJK and GB strongly condemning the terrorist acts in Diamir, rejected the outdated thoughts against the women education in the area. They said people of the area should strongly resist such backward and negative thinking against women education.
Addressing on the occasion the officers of armed forces of the country urged the students and teachers to shoulder the future challenges through acquiring quality education and creative skill.
The students also expressed profound gratitude to chief of armed forces General Qamar Javed Bajwa for providing an opportunity to the students to have access to Pakistan Military Academy. The students requested the government to hold seminars at local and national level in Universities and Colleges for youth’s development and guidance.
They also wished to visit general headquarters of Pakistan armed forces and see the chief of armed forces in person.
