The problem of child labour is quite common across Pakistan which is now a days increasing day by day. The problem continues to spoil the lives of thousands of children.
The problem adversely effects the growth, development, and progress of our country. Approximately 19 million are working as child labourers. It is very sad to see these young children who should be going to schools at this age are going to workshops, shops, industries, kilns and factories. Instead of making these children go to workshops and kilns, it should be the government’s responsibility to ensure that all children go to school. Education should be made free of cost or at least the fee should be made minimal. There are many law against child labour, however there poor implementation is responsible for the continuation of the problem. Government should take some proactive and stringent measures to stop this problem of child labour and must ensure education for them.
