Islamabad: A Gulf Airlines’ flight 771GF on Monday narrowly escaped accident at New Islamabad International Airport after a passenger boarding bridge collapsed.
According to the Airport Authorities, the operator was moving the bridge back after shifting passengers into the plane when it collapsed. Consequently the bridge operator at duty was injured.
Luckily the plane didn’t come under the impact of falling bridge and escaped the accident .
The Airport Authorities have started an investigation to ascertain the factors behind the incident.
Later the Islamabad bound Bahrain flight safely took off to its destination.
