Peshawar: The situation in Peshawar University on Friday has returned to normalcy after violent clash between police and male students who were protesting against increase in fee structure for M.Phil and Ph.D programmes .
The educational activities have resumed in the campus amid beefed up security while the detained students have also been released by police.
Earlier on Thursday, police had resorted to baton charge as hundreds of male students of Peshawar University staged protest against increase in fee.
The clash left several students injured while over 15 protesters were also taken into custody.
Protesting students were of the view that hike in fee for M.Phil and PhD programs was unacceptable as they cannot afford to pay more charges.
