London: Kashmir Voice International (KVI) during a meeting here on Sunday expressed serious concerns over the continued loss of life in Indian occupied Kashmir and felt that the absence of dialogue and any initiative for the restoration of peace has created a sense of frustration, disappointment and desperation.
The KVI resolved that the Government of India should start a result oriented unconditional dialogue with the Kashmir leadership and take positive steps to arrest further deterioration in the situation.
KVI discussed the article authored by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, published in Dawn on Sunday the 30th of September and felt the Kashmir leader has resonated the stand taken by KVI. A statement issued here on Monday reads as “KVI believes neither Military nor Militancy can help solve Kashmir problem which should be addressed by political means. Endorsing the view point and stand taken by Hurriyat chairman in his recent write-up the KVI expressed deep disappointment over the cancellation of Foreign Ministers meeting and urged upon the Indian government to respond in a positive manner to the peace offer of Pakistan Prime Minister.
KVI expressed pain over the continued killings in Kashmir and advocated an end to all the violence and urged upon the stakeholders to take steps for the creation of peaceful environment leading to a dialogue process for the solution of the problem.
