RAWALPINDI: On the direction of Dy. Executive Officer Bilal Rasheed various areas falling under the ambit Cantt. Board operation was carried out in Sadar, Dhoke Gujran, and Range Road where various eatables were checked and due to non-cleanliness various restaurants including Bandu Khan Restaurant, Tabarak Restaurant, Punjab Cash & Carry, Shimla Bakers, Dawn Bakers, The Dawn Bakers, KFC Restaurant, Abbasi Hotel, and Masha Allah Hotels were sealed. Moreover, in various areas of Cantt. refreshment centres and nan centres, were checked and 350 samples of eatables were collected which were sent to laboratories for investigation and non-cleaned items were fined.
Representative of Cantt Board Rawalpindi Qaisar Mehmood told that five trucks containing different smuggled items were confiscated and search operation in various areas is being carried out on daily basis. Search was also conducted in the areas of Sadar, Dhamial Morr, Peshawar Road, Pir Wadahi Morr and Nasirabad.
