Islamabad: PM Imran Khan has set up three task forces for civil service reforms, austerity in government matters, and completion of merger process tribal areas (FATA and PATA ) with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
Task force for austerity and reorganization of government departments will be comprising 18 members which will give suggestion to government in connection with reducing their expenses and restructuring of departments.
As per media reports, PM Adviser on Institutional Reforms and Austerity Dr Ishrat Hussain will head the task forces on civil service reforms and restructuring of the government.
The members of these task force includes Managing director of Kashaf Foundation Roshany Zafar, former chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Abdullah Yousaf, former federal secretary Tariq Khosa, General Manager of Punjab Information Technology board Burhan Rasool, former secretary finance Salman Sadiq and Wajid Rana, member of FBR Rana Ahmed, former managing partners of Earnest and young Asad Ali Shah, former secretary interior Tasleem Aslam, Country Director of International Growth Ejaz Nabi and others.
Dr Ishrat Hussain will also head the task force setup for civil service reforms and restructuring of the government (TFRC) .The member of this force include Beacon House National University vice-chancellor Shahid Kardar , Retired Federal Secretaries Dr Sania Nishtar, Suleiman Ghani (former bureaucrat),Planning Commission former deputy chairman Dr Nadeem ul Haq, Salman Raja advocate, Ali Cheema (LUMS), Umair Javed (LUMS), former federal secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi and Managing Director of Sindh Education Foundation Naheed Durrani.
Moreover, PM Imran Khan has also given the approval to set up a task force in connection with merging tribal areas Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA) with the K-PK which aimed to remove the hurdles and to make this process easy.
Headed by Shahzad Arbab Adviser to PM on Establishment, the third task force has the K-P governor and chief minister as its members. Other members include Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor ul Haq Qadri, Senator Hidayat ullah Khan, State and Frontier Regions (Safron) federal secretary, the K-P chief secretary and Fata additional chief secretary.
The representatives of the Military Operations (MO) Directorate, the general headquarters (GHQ), will also be part of the third task force.
