Lahore: Ehsan Mani nominated by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has been elected unopposed as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) new Chairman.
Ehsan Mani, who was nominated for the post by PCB’s Pattern in chief PM Khan few days ago, faced no opposition in the elections and was elected unopposed as PCB Chairman.
PCB informed by posting on social media website twitter that Ehsan Mani has been elected unopposed as Chairman of PCB by the Board of Governors (BoG).
It is further said in the twit that he will perform his duties for a period of three years while he already took his charge.
After the victory of PTI in general elections 2018, it was indicated that PM Khan will make changes in PCB.
As the Najam Sethi tendered resignation as Chairman of PCB, PM Khan nominated former International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Ehsan Mani as new PCB’s Chairman in a twit on social media website twitter.
PM Imran Khan said in his twit that Ehsan Mani has been elected has new PCB chairman, he will bring vast and valuable experience with himself, he also represented Pakistan in ICC. He was Treasurer of ICC for 3 years and then headed the ICC for 3 years.
Ehsan Mani is Chartered Accountant by profession and he remained and president of ICC besides representing Pakistan Cricket Board in the ICC.
