Islamabad : United Group of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday said Prime Minister Imran Khan will steer the country out of problems to make Pakistan a developed nation.
The newly formed team of economic experts enjoys full backing of the business community of Pakistan, it said.
Speaking at a meeting of the coordination committee of United Group of ICCI, Habibullah Zahid, Shahid Zaman Shinwari, Abid Khan and Zahid Qureshi said
that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the only man who can lift Pakistan to progressiveness.
The limping economy facing many challenges can only be propelled if corruption is rooted out in which business community will fully cooperate, they added.
The business leaders noted that corruption is not only prevalent in the government departments only but it is also widespread in the private sector.
Past governments framed policies to benefit some influential which must be reversed in the national interest, they demanded.
Habibullah Zahid and Shahid Zaman Shinwari noted that majority of the chambers of commerce and trade associations are in control of Qabza groups.
These groups continue to play havoc with the business community and promote their own interests which should be noted by the new government to take corrective steps.
They said that we have come forward to help the business community get rid of the group that has ruled ICCI for the last twenty-two years and done nothing except personal welfare.
