Sargodha: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Sargodha has dismissed bail plea of 11 PML-N workers including PML-N newly elected member National Assembly Dr Zulfiqar Bhatti, his son, and brother.
According to police a case was registered by Cantt police against PML-N newly elected Zulfiqar Bhatti and 200 other workers under several acts including terrorism for allegedly targeting the state institutions during provocative speeches on July 25 due to delay in announcing electoral results.
Police had arrested 6 accused and sent them to jail on judicial remand. 11 accused including Dr Zulfiqar Bhatti, his brother Sarfraz Bhatti and son Najaf Bhatt had obtained interim bail from court.
ATC judge Ateeq Ur Rehman took up the case for hearing on Monday.
During the course of hearing, 11 suspects including Dr Zulfiqar appeared before court.
Court while hearing the arguments of both sides dismissed the bail petition of Dr Zulfiqar and others who later fled from the court in their vehicles.
Court while taking serious notice of the incident of fleeing ordered police to arrest and present them soon before it.
On the other hand, PML-N newly elected MNA Dr Zulfiqar Bhatti said that he will approach Lahore High Court against ATC decision.
