Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while seeking reply from National Accountability Bureau on plea of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in connection with change in Wajid Zia statement adjourned the hearing till September 4.
A two-member divisional bench comprising Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Mohsin Akhtar took up the case for hearing on Monday.
During the course of hearing, Sharif Family Counsel Khawaja Harris took the plea that Accountability Court No. 2 had changed the statement of Wajid Zia, head of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) constituted to probe panama papers case against Sharif family.
Zia said that amendment in the ruling given on August 30, 2018 should be executed as there were no such details in the judgment and changing has been made in the last three questions.
Justice Athar Minallah observed, “AC had to give decision after taking into consideration all the facts”.
Former PM Counsel told to court that whatever had been run in the court room during hearing of the case it was just the basic violation of the law.
While high lightening the matter of change of NAB prosecutor, Khawaja Harris told that during the cross-questioning of JIT Chief it was asked did Hussain Nawaz bring the report with himself when he appeared before inquiry committee.
Court, however, sought reply from NAB on the matter.
On the other hand, hearing pertaining to challenge the Alazizia Steel Mills case has been adjourned till September 4.
