Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 320 Kg narcotics valuing Rs 268.5 Million internationally, arrested 18 persons involved in drug trafficking and impounded 5 vehicles while conducting 14 counter-narcotics strikes across the country. The seized drugs comprised of 234 Kg Hashish, 34.8 Kg Opium, 3.68 Kg Heroin, 100 Grams Amphetamine and 47 Liters Acetone.
ANF Quetta raided a shop located at old Truck Adda, Sirki Road, Quetta and recovered 47 Liters Acetone. An accused identified as Habib Ullah Durani resident of Quetta was arrested during the operation. In another operation, ANF Quetta recovered 30 Kg Hashish from Mountainous area of Akhtarabad, Western Bypass Road, Tehsil and District Quetta. In third operation, ANF Quetta recovered 7 Kg Hashish from mountainous area of Shadi Kor, Tehsil Pasni and District Gawadar.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Moazzam Mehdi resident of Islamabad and recovered 2 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Koral Hiace Stop, Islamabad. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Javed Iqbal resident of Sialkot at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 860 Grams Heroin which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Dubai by Flight No. QR-615. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Motorcycle near Chungi No. 4, Opposite PSO Petro Pump, Rawalpindi and recovered 6.9 Kg Hashish and 1x 30 Bore Pistol with 7x rounds from personal possession of the 2 arrested accused identified as Arshad Ahmed resident of Rawalpindi and Muhammad Rehman resident of Swat. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 500 gram Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Ajmal Mansoor resident of Jehlum. On pointation of the arrested accused ANF Rawalpindi arrested another accused identified as Ubaid Ur Rehman resident of Rawalpindi and recovered 500 gram Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Nala Lai, Rawalpindi.
ANF Lahore arrested an accused identified as Muhammad Afzaal resident of Kasur and recovered 750 Grams Heroin from his personal possession. He was arrested near Yar Akbar Shaheed Post, Kasur. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda Civic Car near Gojra Motorway Toll Plaza, Gojra and recovered 9.6 Kg Hashish which was concealed in secret cavities of the said car. Resultantly an accused identified as Noor Ahmed resident of Peshawar was arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Multan intercepted a Bedford Truck near Hiscol Petrol Pump, Ali Pur Road, Muzaffargarh and recovered 28.8 Kg Opium and 67.2 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the truck. Resultantly 4 accused identified as Muhammad Aslam, Babar Saleem residents of Gujranwala, Allah Ditta and Muhammad Nadeem both residents of Muzaffargarh were arrested during the operation.
ANF Peshawar in an intelligence based operation intercepted a Honda City Car from University road, Peshawar and recovered 6 Kg Opium, 2 Kg Heroin and 22.8 Kg Hashish from Diggi of the Vehicle. A person on board namely Maryam resident of Peshawar have also been arrested during the operation. In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Hiace passenger vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish which was concealed in wearing Chappals of the arrested accused identified as Abdul Wali resident of Khyber Agency. In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Said Nawab Khan resident of Lower Deer at Peshawar International Airport on suspicion of ingested narco filled capsules in his stomach, he was admitted in Hayatabad Medical Complex for delivery of capsules. He delivered 87x narco filled capsules out of which 54x capsules contained Hashish (weighing 310 grams) 22x capsules contained Amphetamine (weighing 100 grams) and 11x capsules contained Heroin (weighing 70 grams).
ANF Karachi intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Al-Asif Square, Sohrab Goth, Karachi and recovered 86 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. Resultantly 2 accused identified as Muhammad Akram and Mansoor Ahmed both residents of Qilla Abdullah were arrested during the operation.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
