QUETTA: The newly elected Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Jam Kamal Khan will take oath of his office at Governor House in Quetta at five this evening (Sunday).
Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai will administer oath to him.
Mir Jam Kamal was elected Chief Minister of Balochistan yesterday, during Balochistan Assembly session. He bagged 39 votes in secret ballot poll.
Mir Jam Kamal belongs to a Royal Family of Lasbella. He was born in 1973, and completed his early education from his native town Lasbella.
Kamal moved to Karachi where he obtained MBA degree from a private University.
He started his political career from Local Bodies’ elections and remained Town Nazim of Lasbella twice.
Jam Kamal served as Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources from 2013 to 2018 during PML (N)’s regime.
His Grandfather late Jam Ghulam Qadir and his Father Jam Muhammad Yousaf also served the province as Chief Minister.
