Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Naeem-ul-Haq has said that we request to the president of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain to cancel his foreign visit for one day so that Imran Khan could take the oath of his office as Prime Minister (PM).
As per media report, Naeem-ul-Haq said while talking to media on Thursday that we are trying Imran Khan to take his oath as soon as possible and Election Commission (EC) to issue the notification of successful candidate .
ëíIt is the democratic right of opposition parties to protest against the alleged rigging in general polls however our government will try to ensure introduction of the electoral reforms along with the opposition parties after coming into power so that there would be a least room for any lope holes in next electioníí, he added.
Naeem-ul-Haq further said that the required legal help will be provided to opposition parties regarding their complaint of rigging however; it is the job of EC to reopen the constituencies and recounting.
While responding to a question, he said that the rules of EC had become old and it is need of hour to bring improvement therein.
ëíWe are happy that opposition parties have decided to take oath in the first session of NAíí, he held.
