Islamabad: Due to negligence of Capital Developmental Authority (CDA) and federal administration, the suburbs of the capital city were filled with water when torrential rain came last night.
The streets of the city changed into drains due to nonstop heavy downpour spell for almost five hours . The rain water spread on the roads due to blockage of the drainage system, which made the traffic jams on road.
According to the survey of Online news, due to the worse management of drainage system, the water entered into the houses of people in Taramari, Alipur, Khanna pull, Banigala and Thanda pani areas while at low lying area like Taramri,the water level was raised up to 3 feet in the streets. The people said that it was not the first time that the water gathered after the rain.
The people of Khad Rapar also blamed the politicians of false promises for not solving this issue so far.
Bani Gala,the home of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) also inundated in the rain water for not having a proper drainage system while the road accidents had also increased because of poor visibility and water on the roads.
According to the survey of online news the previous day, road accidents has increased in Khanna area and several road accident cases were brought to different hospitals.
