Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir National Front has paid rich tributes to martyrs of Shopian, Lolab and Sopore who were martyred by Indian forces in three different gunfights. The party expressed shock over army firing on unarmed mourners in Shopian and the subsequent killing of a civilian.
A National Front Spokesperson while paying tributes to the martyrs said that our brave hearts are sacrificing their lives in the way of freedom and hence are making the struggle valuable after every passing day. The Spokesperson expressed grief over the martyrdoms of brave hearts and termed it a great loss.
Five brave hearts including Shaheed Umar Nazir Malik of Malikgund Shopian, Shaheed Waqar Aslam Sheikh of Malikgund Shopian, Shaheed Aijaz Ahmad Paul of Lossdenow Shopian, Shaheed Arshid Ahmad Khan of Ganowpora Shopian and Shaheed Arif Ahmad of Pahalgam area were martyred by Indian forces in nn encounter in Kiloora village of Shopian.
Shaheed Zahoor Ahmad Mir of Thayan Kalaroos and Shaheed Bilal Ahmad Shah of Shotmuqam village of Kupwara were martyred by Indian forces in Kandhar village of Kupwara on Thursday while as Shaheed Reyaz Ahmad Dar of Chinkipora, Sopore and Shaheed Khursheed Ahmad Malik of Arabal Nikas, Pulwama were martyred on Friday.
National Front expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and assured them that their sacrifices will not be allowed to go waste. The Spokesperson prayed for their patience and expressed sympathy with them.
The Spokesperson strongly condemned the army firing on mourners at Ganowpora village of Shopian and expressed shock over murdering of a civilian, Bilal Khan who was there to attend funeral prayers of the martyrs. He said that Indian oppression has crossed all limits in Kashmir.
