Islamabad: With a fair chance to form Government at Center, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has set its sight on forming government in Punjab as it has assigned the duties to major party leaders to muster the support of 27 independent-elected MPAs to get the needed numbers.
Party Leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen and Chaudhry Sarwar have been directed by the PTI Chairman Imran Khan to establish contacts with independent MPAs.
According to media reports the independent MPAs have begun leaning towards PTI, which is set to form government at Center. The Party has also decided to welcome Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) to join hands with it.
The PTI Chairman on Friday assigned task to Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Chaudhry Sarwar and Jahangir Tareen to expedite contacts with the independent MPAs so that a government could be formed in Punjab.
Beside the PTI leaders Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is also in contact with the Independents.
Since, the PTI needs 15 more MPAs to meet the required number for the formation of government in Punjab, 27 independently elected MPAs and 7 PML-Q MPAs can play crucial role in this regard.
