Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar on Friday said all options, including knocking on the doors of the International Monitoring Fund (IMF), will be availed as the country tackles its way out of a severe economic crisis.
Asad Umar said youth will be provided job opportunities, adding agriculture and business industries will be strengthened. Pakistan faces a mammoth task of arranging around $11 billion to fill its external financing gap in the ongoing fiscal year.
The deficit is higher than Pakistan’s gross official foreign currency reserves that currently stand at $9 billion. He said, “Our government will use all options to improve declining economy because fire fighting will be required to strengthen democracy.”
Asad Umar said our government is ready to deal with prevailing economic situation in the country. The government will strengthen agriculture and industry so that the country can stand on its feet and face the world challenges.
On a question, the PTI leader said the government policies will be focused on two targets, first to eliminate poverty from the country and if people get employment their income will improve and unemployment will reduce.
He said that the government will have to hand over institutions to professionals. So far, favorites were inducted in the institutions so that contracts could be given to them. But we will put institutions on their own feet.
The PTI leader further said those who are asking to open few boxes we are ready to open all boxes.
