Chaman: At least five people were severely injured after a remote control bomb targeting Law Enforcement Agencies? vehicle went off on Mall Road in Chamman on Friday.
According to media reports the bomb was planted on a motorcycle and exploded as an LEAS vehicle on patrolling was passing by. However no causalities were reported beside five severely injured.
The wounded have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Chamman for medical treatment.
The explosion caused havoc, damaging around ten shops and shattering windows of 12 vehicles.
A security alert was issued early on the morning and election campaign of Awami National Part (ANP) was postponed citing security concerns.
Heavy contingents of Frontier Corps and Security forces rushed to the scene and launched a search operation following a cordon off.
