Lahore: (Parliament Times) President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan, met Chief Minister Punjab Hasan Askari Rizvi at Chief Minister Secretariat today.
During the meeting the matters of mutual interest, political significance and ongoing human rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir were discussed.
The President informed the Chief Minister of the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Indian security forces in IOK and the recent killings of young Kashmiris during so called cordon and search operations.
The President said that efforts are being made to highlight the atrocities taking place and helping put an end to the suffering being inflicted on them by the Indian occupation forces.
Chief Minister Punjab on the occasion said that India cannot resolve the Kashmir dispute by using its occupational forces in silencing the voices of the innocent and unarmed civilians who are demanding freedom and the right to self-determination. He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to the just struggle of people of Indian Occupied Kashmir for their right of self-determination.
