Lahore: Cousin of Kulsum Nawaz and wife of a famous wrestler Jhara Pehelwan, Mrs Saira Bano, vows to protect women rights. She is contesting elections for Punjab Assembly from PP-149. She said, “I am candidate of Allah u Akbar Tehreek (AAT), backed by Milli Muslim League (MML). I am contesting elections not for any personal interests. I am very well aware of the problems of the residents of the area. We will try to solve water, sewerage and educational problems. MML would work on solving the problems of the women”.
She was addressing to inauguration ceremonies of election offices in UC-64 Rajgarh, UC-58 Islam Pura and a corner meeting at Shibli Town. Candidate AAT, backed by MML, Muhammad Yaqoub Sheikh (NA-125), Leader MML Lahore chapter Hafiz Ishfaq, Habib ul Rehman Cheema, Haji Mushtaq and others were also with her. They were warmly welcomed everywhere, especially at Shibli Town, where petals were showered on them and the residents of the area chanted slogans in their favour. Muhammad Khalid, Hafiz Muhammad Faisal, Muhammad Fayyaz, Choudhry Abu Bakar, Muhammad Umair, Danish and a large number of prominent people of the area joined the gatherings.
“I am running door to door campaign these days, and response of the public is amazing,” said Saira Bano.
Addressing to events, Yaqoub Sheikh (NA-125) said, “Our politics is to serve the mankind. Prayers of uncountable Pakistanis are with MML, as our humanitarian services are known to all.”
He further said, “The politics of palaces is going to end. We are the protectors of the ideology of Pakistan. Serving the mankind is the identity of Milli Muslim League (MML).”
