Islamabad: Interior Ministry formally added the names of former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz in Exit Control List (ECL).
As per media reports, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) wrote three letters to Interior Ministry on which no action was taken but names of both the culprits were put in ECL following their conviction in Avenfield reference. .
NAB wrote three different letters on February 14, June and this month to Interior Ministry in which they demanded to put the names of former PM Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz in ECL but Interior Ministry failed to implement recommendations due to which Former PM and his daughter fled foreign country.
Now after the court verdict, their name has been placed on the ECL and they will be arrested soon after their arrival in Pakistan.
