Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties, Syed Ali Gilani while paying rich tributes to popular youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani and his other martyred associates on their 2nd anniversary has said that these brave hearts will be remembered for their exemplary contributions towards movement.
Syed Ali Gilani in his statement in Srinagar criticized the Indian authorities for imposing restrictions and curfew in Tral and other areas of the occupied territory.
“People were restricted and barred from commemorating their beloved youth. Burhan is a role model and his demise is a milestone and an inspiration for generations to come. Those serving their nation and sacrificing their precious lives are beacon lights of our cherished movement,” Gilani said.
The octogenarian leader said that those brutally massacred during popular uprising in 2016 presented invaluable and exemplary sacrifices. Gilani while hailing spirit of people said that they were very much sensitive and serious about resistance movement. He said that the people would never budge from their stand and would carry their mission till its logical end.
He cautioned people about the Machavilian and deceitful politics of pro-India politicians, saying the ethics and moral values was absent in Indian political discourse.
“Denying political space, caging, intimidation, harassment, charging fake allegations, killings and detaining people for decades without trial is characteristic of oppressors,” said Gilani and added that all this repressive tactics would not force Kashmiris into submission or break our resolve, “instead we will follow cherished mission till the movement is taken to its logical conclusion.”
