Rawalpindi: One day National Seminar on “Conservation and Protection of Environmental Initiatives” was held at National Cleaner Production Center, Morgah, Rawalpindi on Monday. Environmentalists and students participated in the seminar. Addressing on the occasion Coordinator NCPC, Mr. Muhammad Irshad Ramay stressed the need of massive tree planation to all blank spaces to bring a visible change and over-come shortage of forests. He underlined the need of social forestry with the objective to sensitize masses about the future challenges and said that every citizens of Pakistan should plant at least one sapling to full fill his and her social responsibility to increase forest wealth in the country. Mr. Ramay was of the view that we had to see very hard time in near future if we do not take care to preserve our environment from effects of greenhouse gasses industrial waste. He mentioned various success stories of different countries who had successfully mitigated their environmental issues with collective efforts and stressed that we should have to follow these practices with our active participation in environmental up gradation initiatives. Senior Analyst and Enviromental Experts Ms. Sana Tahir address to the participants stressed the need for joining hands to combat environmental degradation and asked young researchers to play their due role to achieve the objectives. Miss Sadaf Yasin also address on the occasion.
