RAWALPINDI: Director Social Welfare Rawalpindi division Muhammad Aslam Matila has said that facilitation centers have been set up in Rawalpindi division to facilitate transgender persons in obtaining their National Identity Cards (NICs).
The facilitation centers have been established in the districts Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal and the transgender community can contact these centers in connection with preparations of their NICs. They can seek help and guidelines at these centers.
Aslam Matela said the transgender persons can contact committee members including deputy director social welfare, Baitul Mal, Muhammad Nawaz, Manager Sanat Zar Jhelum Chaudhry Wajid Hussain, Sohail Nasir social welfare officer and Usman Khalid in Jhelum for the purpose of obtaining NICs.
