ISLAMABAD: People started dragging themselves back to work after Eid holidays in the government and private sector offices.
According to details, thin attendance was observed in offices on Tuesday, the first working day after Eidul Fitr.
The government had announced Eid holidays for its employees from Friday to Monday. However, the government and private offices, especially those at Blue Area, wore a deserted look as most of the people did not turn up for their duties, officials said. According to officials, even those who were in attendance left early saying they’ve to get ready for dinner at their relatives home.
Most public sector employees were expected to start work from Monday, they said. An office worker, Naveed, said employees had taken additional holiday for Thursday and Friday to make the most of Eid.
