“Killing of 6 youths in Held Kashmir widely condemned in AJK”

MUZAFFARABAD: The coldblooded killing of six youth during a fresh siege and search operation by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir widely condemned in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The civilian were killed in a military operation in Keran area of Kupwara district bordering with Azad Jammu and Kashmir, early Sunday morning. The killing of youth came at a time when the Indian government had announced a so-called ceasefire in the occupied territory during the month of Holy Ramadan.
AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan termed the incident as highly unfortunate and held the Indian occupational forces responsible of the gruesome act.
“New Delhi on one hand is offering talks to bring peace in Kashmir and its forces deployed in Kashmir are killing non combatants civilian on the other hand,” Khan said in his reaction on the incident took place at Keran area of district Kupwara on Monday.
He said rhetoric of talks carry no weight unless India come up with concrete steps to resolve the decade old dispute of Jammu and Kashmir in line with the aspirations of Kashmiri people. The brutal act of state sponsored terrorism would never help India to suppress the legitimate voices for freedom, AJK PM stated.
The Parliamentary leader of Jamaat Islami (JI) in AJK Legislative Assembly Abdul Rashid Turrabi condemned the killing of youth and called upon the international community and rights organisations to take notice of it.
“The Kashmiri youth are being targeted and killed for their urge to have freedom and dignified life,” Turrabi said in a statement. The Indian tactics to crush the genuine of Kashmiri will give impetus to freedom struggle in Indian Kashmir, he said.
Chairman Public Accounts Committee of the AJK Legislative Assembly, Dr Mustafa Bashir strongly denounced the killing of six youths in Kashmir and said that Indian desperations showed that it had lost war in Kashmir. He called upon the international community to take stock of the situation and help restore the usurped rights of Kashmiri people.
