ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif said he had not sacked in nationa interest the official of subordinate organization who had conveyed message to him he should resign or he would be sent on an extended leave.
While replying to a question from the media men in accountability court Islamabad that as to why he had not sought resignation from head of subordinate organization who had conveyed this message to him Nawaz said he demonstrated forbearance, forgiveness and strength.

Nawaz said he could have dismissed the head of the said organization but he did not do so in the national interest.

He went on to say that every thing has its time and when the matter came up before the court I told the court about it. These were facts which should have come to open. These problems are haunting us since the last 70 years.

It may be mentioned that former PM while recording his statement before the court had told that message from chief of an intelligence agency was conveyed to him that he should either resign or proceed on long leave. “I was shocked that an officer of a subordinate institution is conveying this message to me.
To a question from a journalist that if he had not accepted any pressure from any one then why he had obtained resignation from Mushahid Ullah Khan and Pervez Rashid Nawaz said that resignations of Mushahid Ullah and Pervez Rashid are result of forbearance.
