Islamabad(Daily Parliament Times): Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the schedule of training of District Returning Officers(DROs) and Returning Officers(ROs) in wake f preparedness of the upcoming general elections.This was told by Spokesman of ECP Altaf Ahmed during the media briefing on Monday. He said that the training of total 133 District Returning Officers and 849 Returning Officers in all four provinces of the country would be imparted from tomorrow(Wednesday)under new election act. For the first time in the electoral history of the country, the DROs and ROs would take oath under section 58 of new electoral law for holding free , fair and impartial elections.
The training of DROs will held only for a day , while the training of ROs would long for three days I n which they would be informed about the new electoral laws and Result Management System(RMS). In this connection the training would be held simultaneously at all provincial capitals on 16 May (Wednesday). The provincial members of Election Commission would inaugurate these sessions in their respective province.
While the training of Returning Officers (ROs) would be kicked off from 17th May(Thursday), which would be continued till end of current month.
