Islamabad : The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Enforcement Directorate on Thursday launched a massive crackdown against encroachments at Faizabad and cleared billions of rupees land from the encroachers’ possession.
The crackdown was launched on the Islamabad High Court’s orders. The court had ordered the competent authority on Wednesday this week to clear the encroached land from land mafia.
It is pertinent to mention here that the CDA concerned department had earlier conducted three crackdowns against encroachments on the court orders but the encroachers with the alleged support of CDA officials again established the shelters.
The enforcement directorate, DMA, Environment Wing, MPO and MCI on Thursday launched a grand operation against the illegal constructions at Islamabad Expressway, Shuja Express and three other bus terminals and demolished them.
Some transporters tried to stop the operation but the enforcement directorate officials controlled them and demolished all encroachments.
