New York: Pakistan Permanent Representative to UN Dr. Maleeha Lodhi has said that in Pakistan civilian and military leadership have complete consensus for democracy.
On Sunday, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi said this while talking to US War College delegation. She said Pakistan has been elected seven times member of the UN Security Council and four times elected member of the UN Human Rights Council.
She said due to Pakistan’s comprehensive strategy has eradicated all terrorist groups. She added that in Pakistan second time power is being transferred from one to another elected government.
She further said that with the help of a strong contingent of army of 2,00000 Pakistan has conducted the biggest ever anti terrorism operation of the world bringing 60 per cent decrease after 2010 in the incidents of terrorist attacks.
It does not mean that the challenge has ended but they are in good position now and Pakistan has entered the arena of stable economy from crisis scenario. She added.
She said Pakistan wants peace in its neighbouring countries and peace in Afghanistan is Pakistan’s top priority. Dr. Maleeha Lodhi said that Pakistan wants stable and durable relationship with India following the solution of the disputes.
