Lahore: Medicines purchased by Punjab Health Department for free distribution in the government hospitals were found substandard, a Lab test revealed.
Samples were collected for test from 107 hospitals.
On the other hand the spokesman of Drug Unit said that advisory has been issued to remove the substandard drugs from the hospital immediately.
A ban has been imposed on the particular badges of the 80 substandard drugs and safety alert has been issued pertaining to 45 drugs.
Spokesman said that the substandard Medicine included heart, hepatitis, body pain, throat, ulser and antibiotic. The spokesman further said that tests have been carried out on the advice of Punjab government.
