ISLAMABAD: Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been made for the people like Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain.

Speaking to media after appearing before the accountability court, the former premier offered thanks to Allah saying that Amir Liaquat didn’t join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Commenting on the graft cases, the PML-N supreme leader asked why the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed supplementary references when it couldn’t find anything incriminating enough to prove him guilty in the previous references.
He said efforts were being made to find something to incriminate him and members of his family.
Without naming anyone, Sharif said they were after his father’s business. If the ruling family was to hold to account at any cost, then it should began from 1937 when Almighty Allah started blessing them, he said.
Drawing a comparison with a Bollywood movie, he said he was being meted out treatment similar to that of Indian film actor Dileep Kumar in a movie in which his wife set his bedroom on fire when she couldn’t win her husband’s affections.
He ignored a question regarding former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar, saying that let us discuss the matter for which we are here in the court.
Nawaz Sharif had accused both Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PTI chairman Imran Khan of deceiving the nation. He termed Zardari and Khan two sides of the same coin and revealed that PTI voted for PPP’s candidate Saleem Mandviwalla in Senate polls.
Sharif apprised attendants that he was ousted from premiership over receiving salary from the son and that corruption of not even a single penny was proved against him. Sharif claimed that nation has rejected the verdict (Panama Papers case’s verdict on 28th of July, 2016) of his ouster.
