Srinagar: Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged India and Pakistan to adopt the realistic and humanistic approach for resolution of the Kashmir dispute to avert killings across the Line of Control.
According to KMS, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Tragic situations can easily be avoided if India and Pakistan realize the futility of hostility and adopt the realistic and humanistic approach for resolution of the long-pending Kashmir dispute.”
The Mirwaiz expressed solidarity with the people killed in exchange of firing along the Line of Control. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Ittehadul Muslimeen Patron Maulana Abbas Asnari and President Masroor Abbas Ansari in a joint statements paid glowing tributes to the three youth martyred by Indian troops at Balhama in Srinagar. A delegation of Ittehadul Muslimeen also visited Balhama area of Srinagar and expressed solidarity with the owners of the houses destroyed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation.
The J&K Muslim Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar said that loss of lives on either side of the Line of Control is because of unresolved Kashmir dispute. The statement urged the settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per relevant resolutions of the United Nations.
