Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Minister for Finance and Health, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Mohammad Najeeb Naqi Khan has said that under free emergency services in Azad Kashmir hospitals, 50,000 patients are being treated free of cost besides their free diagnostics and providing medicines.

Minister for Health expressed these remarks during a farewell function held to honour the outgoing Executive Director of Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences Dr. Abid Hussain Shah here on Tuesday.

Dr. Muhammad Saleem Abbasi, Dr. Mohsin Shakeel, Dr. Ziad Afzal Kayani, and others also addressed the farewell occasion.

Speaking on the event, Health Minister, Dr. Muhammad Najeeb Naqi, said that Executive Director Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) Dr. Syed Abid Hussein Shah have completed his service tenure with hard work and sincerity, “Dr. Syed Abid Hussain Shah is a man of principles who had worked with honor and dignity.” He maintained

He stated that the government is providing all the resources for basic health facilities for the people of AJK, saying that the government is endeavoring to facilitate with modern equipment and facilities in all hospitals of Azad Kashmir.

He reiterated that as per the directions of Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan, all health facilities including medicines and first aid are being provided free of cost to masses.

“Provision of basic facilities and medicines for patients in hospitals is first priority of incumbent government” he added.
