Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Handing over of possession of OPF Valley Housing Scheme Zone-V, Sector C is a big success of OPF and a dream come true for the allottees of this housing scheme. This was stated by the Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Mr. Abdul Rehman Kanju while addressing the ceremony. He further added that the present Government attaches great importance to the welfare of Overseas Pakistanis and is working untiringly to resolve their issues. For this purpose, an attractive incentive package was announced by the Honorable Minister of State, according to which the first 5 allotees who will complete construction of their houses will be given cash incentive in agreement.

The ceremony was attended by over 200 people from all walks of life including the allotees, officers of OPF, leading property consultants, business community, investorsand other notable dignitaries.

The Overseas Pakistanis who received their possession letters were upbeat and very happy about this development and praised the role of present management and the Board of Governors who had worked day and night to make this possible. Due to this landmark achievement the construction at OPF Valley Housing scheme can be
initiated and the Pakistani diaspora coming from abroad can build their houses in a serene and peaceful environment.

Federal Secretary M/o OP & HRD appreciated the efforts of OPF in ensuring timely completion of this land mark housing scheme. He further opined that it is a matter of great contentment that Overseas Pakistanis and their families are being catered for
in the form of such attractive initiatives.

Addressing the ceremony Mr. Jehangir Minhas, Member Board of Governors OPF highlighted the new initiatives taken by OPF in the housing sector. He also informed that in order to improve colonization very soon 6 building blocks of apartments will be constructed. In addition to that high standard schools will also establish their branches in OPF Valley. A state of the art OPF club has been provisioned where Overseas Pakistanis would come and stay while visiting Pakistan. The commercial area is also being developed which will further be improved when colonization
starts.

MD OPF Mr. Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani highlighted that till date 16 housing projects have been completed and further 10 more are on their course to completion. He further added that the development works of all basic necessities such as sewerage, drainage system, water tanks, roads etc. have been completed and this
Housing Society is now ready to be colonized.

The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks from MD OPF and a commitment to work jointly in addressing the
challenges faced by Overseas Pakistanis locally and abroad.
