ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has remarked if Bani Gala is above law that illegal constructions were made therein.

He further remarked “ petitions are there against the illegal construction of residence of Imran Khan in Bani Gala. If the construction is as per law then it is all right. Imran Khan should become captain against illegal constructions.

He gave these remarks while presiding over a 3-member bench of SC during the course of hearing of suo motu notice pertaining to encroachments and illegal constructions here Friday.

CJP remarked some decision will have to be made with reference to illegal constructions.

While giving remarks about Bani Gala residence of Imran Khan, CJP inquired “ if Banni Gala is above law that illegal constructions were made therein. If Imran Khan has a map of house then he should get it approved. Leader should lead from front in every matter. Imran Khan should become captain against illegal constructions.

Babar Awan told that Imran Khan Residence is not included in illegal constructions.

CJP remarked “ bench has not said that Imran Khan home is illegal. Several people have filed petition. If Bani Gala residence construction is as per law then it is all OK.

CJP while directing all the parties concerned to identify the problems and give suggestions for sorting out these problems remarked that “ court has not to destroy the constructions. Some decision will have to be taken with reference to illegal constructions.

The court adjourned the hearing of suo motu notice for two weeks,
