Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau Chairman Justice Javed Iqbal directed DG NAB Balochistan to conduct complete verification against Provincial Minister Obaid Jan Babat for making assets beyond sources of Income.
Babat is purportedly having property in Dubai, owning over Rs 130 million, property in Karachi, two banglows in Multan, Rs 75 million petrol pumps in DG Khan and banglow in Quetta.
Justice Javed has also directed DG Karachi to conduct complaint verification against former IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali, Sohail Jamali and others for their illegally occupying 2,500 acre land of forest department and cultivating the agriculture land in collaboration with officials of revenue department in Sajawal.
Chairman NAB has also been ordered complaint verification against Secretary Health Sindh Dr Fazalullah Pechcho for misuse of authority and postings/transfers of favourites during his posting in education department Sindh. The complaint verification will also cover Dr Fazalullah Pechcho’s awarding of contracts of purchasing inferior quality medicines.
Chairman NAB took notice of alleged corruption of additional IG Balochistan Dr Mueebur Rehman. The complaint verification will cover the allegations of having assets beyond sources of Income, Corruption reports in funds in petroleum products, purchase, repair and maintenance of official vehicles.
