Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary leader Syed Naveed Qamar has said in National Assembly (NA) that it is shameful that FATA reforms bill has not included in today’s business.
He said opposition wanted that woes of people of FATA who are suffering from sense of deprivation should be allayed by approving FATA reforms bill on priority basis. However government is not paying due attention to problems facing the people of FATA. Resolution of problems of FAT is right of people.
Government has time for Faizabad Dharna or any other issue but it has no time for people of FATA, he added.
Is government waiting for such a situation that it may be isolated once again ? he questioned.
Opposition walked out of NA session against such behavior of government.
Reacting to Opposition walk out Federal Minister Safron Abdul Qadir said that Today’s on what bill, opposition is doing politics is actually the property of government and government has brought the bill in the house. Consultation process is underway on FATA reform bill. Government wants which bill is passed here should be accepted at national level, he added.
He further added that government will not allow any one to steal the credit of FATA reforms bill.
Later, the opposition staged a walk-out to record their protest. PPP MNA Ramesh Lal pointed out the quorum and the Speaker suspended proceedings of the House till completion of the same.
Upon not finding the House in order, Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi read out the prorogation order.
