Islamabad: MQM Pakistan has filed a reference in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) seeking disqualification of its 11 lawmakers who have defected to other parties. .
MQM Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar has filed a reference in the ECP praying that 11 legislators of the party who were elected on MQM ticket but they have joined other parties be deseated.
The references have been filed against 2 national and 9 provincial assembly members including Asif Hasnain, Salman Mujahid Baloch, Irum Azeem Farooqi, Sheikh Abudllah, Khalid bin Wilayat, Abdul Razzaq, Irtaza Khalil, Nadeem Raazi, Arif Maseeh, Bilquis Mukhtiyar.
It is vital to mention here that member national assembly Salman Baloch had announced to join Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) on December 8 while Asif Hasnain announced to leave party last year on August 28.
