Islamabad: There is no legal authority of handing over resignations by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies to head of shrine Sial Sharif.

Under the law, those wanted to tender resignations have to personally appear before the National Assembly Speaker while verdicts of the Supreme Court are very clear and obvious, in this regard. Among those who handed over resignations to Hameed-ud-Din Sialvi included MNAs Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Nisar Jutt and MPAs Muhammad Khan Baloch, Saqlain Anwar Sipra and Maulana Rehmatullah.

If these resignations are forwarded to Speaker NA by Hameed-ud-Din Sialvi then there would be no legal authority of these resignations but merely a deception with the nation and trick to gain political mileage.
Prominent legal expert and senior lawyer, Ikram Chaudhry giving his opinion said that according to law, MNAs and MNAs would directly sent their resignations to their concerned Speakers and would also present before the Speaker personally.
He informed that Supreme Court has issued clear directives that that if any member does not admits his resignation before the speaker then the resignations would not be accepted.
