Islamabad: Federal Ombudsman has disposed of a chronic problem not to deduct house rent of lower grade employees from BPS-1
to BPS-5.
According to details some government employees had filed applications in the office of federal Ombudsman Tahir Shahbaz pertaining to house rent deduction.
Finance Ministry in 2016-17 had announced not to deduct house rent from the government employees working in the range of grade one to five. But Ministries of Housing and Finance had not issued the notification.
Federal Ombudsman referred the case to Senior Adviser Ombudsman Hafiz Ahsan Khokhar. He within a short span of two weeks have obtained notification from Ministries of Housing and Finance to the benefit of millions of employees. Tahir Shahbaz appreciated the action.
