Islamabad: Cabinet of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi like his successor Nawaz’s failed to recover 80 billion rupees from Dubai’s royal family even can’t write a letter after refusal of ‘Etisalat’ regarding payment of PTCL sale price.According to Online, ‘Etisalat’, a telecommunication company of Dubai’s emperor family, signed agreement regarding purchase of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) but now refused to pay 80 billion rupees revoking the signed document.
It has been revealed that Ishaq Dar and Nawaz Sharif had been employees of companies owned by the same family and they had acquired ‘Iqamas’ from these companies. Ishaq Dar got billions of dollars debts on heavy interest rate and his son is serving in a company of Dubai’s royal family so he did not dare to write a letter for recovery of an amount owed by ‘Etisalat.
‘Etisalat’ had excused to not issue amount unless transfer of 3200 properties which have been transferred but they have not fulfilled their promise until now. Pakistani foreign and finance ministers are ‘Iqama’ holders of Dubai’s companies so they are reluctant to take stern actions against ‘Etisalat’.On the other hand, Daniyal Aziz is heading ministry for Privatization and his silence is beyond understanding over the issue while the amount is due since 12 years.
