“Gujjar Foundation hosts Award giving ceremony at RAC”

Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The chairman Standing Committee Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan MNA Malik Abrar while addressing award giving ceremony hosted by Gujjar Foundation in Islamabad has said that no nation or society can progress without education.

Malik said that it was high time to educate our daughters. “If you educate a woman you educate a nation”, he said adding that educated daughters would give us an educated and civilized nation. Malik was of the view that every one should play its role for peace, prosperity and development of the country. The former UK mayor Karam Hussain on the occasion said that influential people particularly the politician should come forward in a big way to facilitate the common masses. Attaullah Chuhan while presenting four year performance record briefed the participants about the Foundation’s future plans saying that every individual of the tribe should contribute in order to broaden its scope.

The others who spoke on the occasion included, Professor Rehana Kousar, Maiza Hameed Gujjar, Ch. Tariq Mehmood ex-chairman Gujjar Youth Forum, Ch. Mounir, Ch. Shafaqat Ali and others. Whereas, a documentary on Gujjar history, was presented by Farooq Hussain Baitan. It may be recalled here that it was fourth Talent Award ceremony hosted by Gujjar Foundation at Rawalpindi Arts Council was held to honour brilliant students across the country.
