Karachi: “Shia Action Committee” has launched campaign for staging sit in connection with recovery of missing persons.
According to media reports, a sit in was staged before governor house on Saturday mornings in this regard.
A large number of protestors including women and children reached governor house via Faisal Highway.
Strict security measures along with heavy contingents of police and Rangers were made on the occasion to avert any untoward situation.
However, traffic flow in the areas of Kabootar Chowk, Artist Council Chowk, and Shaheen Complex was badly affected.
Protestors said that government had forcibly lifted their several people demanding if they were involved in any crime then they should be presented before courts.
Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi said that their protest will remain peaceful and continue till recovery of missing persons; however government has made no contact with Shia organization to resolve the matter.
