Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Denouncing in strong terms the arrest of UJC chief Syed Sallahuddin’s son the deputy chairman of Jihad Council Muhammad Usman has termed it an act of political vengeance.
In a press statement issued here on Thursday, the deputy chairman of the Council said that New Delhi has been using NIA as a tool to defame the ongoing struggle besides debasing the resistance leadership thereby involving resistance leaders and their families in fake and concocted cases. Terming NIA sleuth’s raid and arresting of UJC chief’s son Shahid Yousuf as an act of political vendetta, Usman said that India’s age old tactics of harassing and humiliating Kashmiris won’t deter Kashmiris from pursuing their long cherished goal for which they have rendered matchless sacrifices. He said that by resorting to such mean tactics India can’t suppress the Kashmiris’ legitimate & indigenous struggle. India he said must realize the bitter reality that “it (India) is approaching end game in Kashmir”.
Expressing serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri prisoners Muhammad Usman said that India on one hand has thrown top leadership behind the bars while on the other trigger happy occupation forces were busy in killing and blinding innocent people in Kashmir. “Detentions and house confinement of the resistance leadership and arresting kith and kin of pro-freedom leaders won’t cow down Kashmiris’ passion nor will it dampen their resolve”, he said adding that the day was not far when people of Kashmir will achieve their cherished goal of freedom from Indian subjugation.
