Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has urged the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to offer Namaz-e-Istasqa to seek blessings of the almighty Allah to end the prolonging dry spell.

According to a press statement issued by press information department government of Azad Kashmir, the prime minister has formally issued directives to the relevant authorities for making necessary arrangements vis-à-vis holding of special prayers at all district and Tehsil headquarters of the region. The Nimaz-e-Istasqa, as per the statement, would be offered at 10 AM on Thursday 26 October. The government employees have also been advised to participate in the collective prayer.

Pertinently, the prolonging dry spell has caused enormous loss to crops in addition to substantial decrease in water resources.
