ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the United States and regional countries should play role for halting human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.
In an interview, he said Pakistan wants dialogue with India for permanent peace in the region but India should first stop provocative activities at working boundary in which many civilian are being killed and injured.
The foreign minister said Pakistan has given suggestion at UN General Assembly session to appoint a special envoy from international institution for compiling report of human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
He said Pakistan had raised the voice at SAARC ministerial conference about peace in South Asian region. To a question, he said Pakistan will continue fight against terrorists till complete elimination of terrorism from the country.
It is vital to mention here that six people were martyred including four females and 35 received injuries in the latest ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces in Charwa Sector in Bini Sulariyan village.
According to a statement of Foreign Office, Indian forces have carried out more than eight hundred and seventy ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary resulting in martyrdom of thirty-eight innocent civilians and injuries to one hundred and forty-two this year, as compared to three hundred and eighty-two ceasefire violations last year.
